Looking for ways to give back this holiday season?

American Cancer Society
Welcomes volunteers to help with its transportation program "Road to Recovery" for ambulatory cancer patients who have no other way of getting to their lifesaving treatment appointments.  Coordinators are needed to oversee all requests received for transportation and Drivers are needed to transport patients to and from their cancer-related medical appointments.

Big Brothers / Big Sisters
Provide positive adult role models for children who are challenged in some way. They also sponsor a Foster Grandparents Program in the school system with a stipend for low-income elderly.

Covenant to Care for Children - Youth Mentoring
A non-profit, nondenominational program that works with faith communities to meet the needs of abused, neglected and impoverished children and teens. In their Youth Mentoring Program , they train volunteer coordinators and mentors to assist teens in establishing plans for housing, health, education, employment and parenting. They offer a critical goods program for supplying household goods.

Volunteer opportunities for medically qualified individuals to join the Town’s Roster. Physicians, PA’s, EMT’s, Mental Health Prof., Nurses, Nurses Aides, Dental Surgeons, Pharmacists and Veterinarians. Nonmedical volunteers also sought.

Imagine Main Street
